Description
Gold Bond® EVOLVE X™ Fire-Shield® Gypsum Board (5/8") consists of a fire-resistant, Type X gypsum core specially formulated to be 20% lighter than standard 5/8" Gold Bond® Fire-Shield® Gypsum Board. It is encased in heavy, natural-finish, 100% recycled paper on the face and back sides. The product is used on walls and ceilings in fire-rated construction where framing members are spaced up to 24" o.c. Features include easier handling due to lighter weight, Type X core for enhanced fire resistance, approved for UL fire-rated designs, and compliance with ASTM C1396.
